ReSet & Rise Counseling Therapeutic Services (“ReSet & Rise,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through resetandrisecounseling.org (the “Website”), how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contacting us. When you call, email or reach out through our Contact page, we receive your name, contact details and the message you send.
- Newsletter sign-up. Your email address, so we can send updates.
- Event sign-in. At events, guests may sign in with their name, email and phone number, and choose whether to receive updates.
- Client portal. For clients with a portal account: your name, date of birth, email, phone number and login credentials, plus appointment and payment records our staff add to your account. Passwords are stored securely by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
Information collected automatically
- Website usage. Through Google Analytics we collect which pages you visit, how long you stay, how far you scroll, which buttons and links you click, the website that referred you, and general device, browser and approximate location (city/region) information. See Analytics & cookies.
What we do not collect on this Website
- We do not collect credit card or bank details on this Website.
- Appointment booking happens on Headway, a separate platform. Information you enter there is collected by Headway under its own privacy policy.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To provide and manage the client portal, appointments and payment records
- To send newsletters, event details and reminders you asked for
- To plan and run our events, including attendance counts
- To understand how the Website is used and improve it
- To keep the Website and our accounts secure, and to meet legal and professional obligations
We do not use your information for advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.
4. Analytics & cookies
The Website uses Google Analytics, provided through Google Firebase, to understand how visitors use the site. It records pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, button and link clicks, and general device and location information. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, and assigns your browser a random identifier.
- We never send your name, email, phone number or anything you type into a form to Google Analytics.
- The client login and client portal are not tracked.
- We use analytics only to improve the Website and our events.
You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Website will still work.
6. Emails & communications
If you sign up for our newsletter or opt in at an event, we may email you updates. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email Info@ResetandRiseCounseling.org and we will remove you. Email is not a secure channel for clinical information.
7. How we protect your information
The Website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Information is stored with Google Cloud services that encrypt data at rest, and access to client and admin areas requires a secure sign-in. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to those who need it.
8. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Newsletter and event information is kept until you ask us to remove it or it is no longer needed. Client records are kept as required by professional and New Jersey record-keeping rules. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our analytics settings, then deleted automatically.
9. Your choices & rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information, unless we are required to keep it
- Stop sending you newsletters or event emails
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them as required. Requests about your therapy records are handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices.
10. Children
The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. Services for minors are arranged through a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Other websites
The Website links to other sites, such as Headway, Instagram, LinkedIn and drcynthiamc.org. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies when you visit them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top.
